Why a miniature keyboard?

Have you ever tried to use a Web browser on a TV with standard remote control.. its very frustrating, one wrong button and you have to start over.

Why would you bother?

  • Small light stylish, looks at home in living room
  • Ideal for Xbox, Pay station, Google devices
  • Ideal for Android Smart TV / HTPC Raspberry Pi KP-810-10AL
  • Great for controlling media player or KODI, Plex media servers
  • Essential if Personal Cloud NAS not located beside the TV and you need a Wireless controller for media server/player

Considering – 2.4Ghz

  • 2.4Ghx range is approx 30 feed, less if there are doors, walls, furniture
  • The device your connecting with must have a spare USB port to plug in dongle
  • Removing, replacing WiFi Dongles in a device regularly to attach other devices may give you problems
  • 2.4 Ghx network is crowded with devices, interference possible, fortunately this device will not use bandwidth of other devices

Considering BlueTooth

  • Not all devices accept blue tooth, you need to check the device has blue tooth before ordering
  • If accepts BlueTooth you dont use up a USB port
  • If Bluetooth can connect to several devices (i.e. Control a device in Living room, and walk into bedroom and control another)
  • Shorter range, designed to be used in front of the device your controlling

Question: Do they make these compatible with mini usb for phones yet? I would HAPPILY pay $30 for a little remote like this for my phablet…
Answer: I bought on Amazon a USB to mini USB adapter for something else, but I used this to plug into to my Samsung Galaxy S3 phone and the keyboard worked great.
